Note: This is an individual assignment. You may brainstorm with other students, but the bulk of the work and the bulkof the ideas must be your own. That entails that you may not share a drawing by copy-and-paste or by any other means. If you do work with other students (or anybody else) you must cite that collaboration explicitly in your handed-in assignment. This is good practice in any circumstances.

Research Paper

The research paper should be at least 5 pages long and should not exceed 8 pages. (8 pages is a hard limit.) The format should be ACM double-column format and using LaTeX is recommended. You can find full specifications for the ACM format at the ACM publications site. You may use either the strick or alternative styles.

Remember, you must site all sources, and your reference section must include only material that is cited in the body of the paper.

Presentation

The presentation about your research should be at most 10 minutes in length, and there will be at least 5 minutes of questions afterwards. You should probably use powerpoint for your presentation. Be sure that there is a clear introduction, logically organized body, and clear conclusion of summary at the end. Diagrams and illustrations are almost always better than long sequences of bulleted slides.

Your mark will include (but not limited to the following criteria):
